I think our civilization should be somewhere in Europe, for there are other civilizations there that we can get information from to help set up our civilization. Also I think it should be in 500 BCE, for it will be the easiest to get the information about this time period.
I think our civilization should be around Amazon River Basin, in what is modern day Brazil. This is because that area has an abundance of natural resources, and a lot of biodiversity- there is plenty of food, trees, and an excellent climate. This article from the Smithsonian gives more information about the Amazon basin.
I think that for our civilization project we should locate our civilization in Brazil, or somewhere in South America. I think that we should be located in Brazil because it is a good place for resources. There are rivers, lakes and other land bases. This would be good for farming, agriculture and more. There is also the Amazon River which has excellent resources.
I think that the best place for our civilization would be on the east coast of present-day Brazil. It has access to water as a resorce, and it is in a good position for trade with Europe and Africa. It is also in an area that we haven't learned about thus far; therefore, we would get to learn about an area that we might not otherwise study.
I think our civilization should be in South America, around 400 BCE. South America is a land with many oppurtunites, like the Amazon River and timber from the forests. To trade and colaborated with, there are the Incans.
I think that our civilization should be in the heartland of present-day America, somewhere near Missouri. There are natural resources like the Mississippi River and the Ozark Mountians. The climate of good, summers of about 80 degrees F and winters of about 30 degrees F. The summers are not too hot, but not too cool. The land is fertile; a lot of crops are grown there now. Most other people that have lived there, the Indians and the Pioneers, had abundant crops and a healthy lifestyle.
I believe that we should create or civilization either around South America or Western Europe. The problem with South America is that civilizations didn’t seem to emerge until mish later. It has been pointed out that the Incans developed in South America but according to Minnesota State University, the Incans did not emerge until 1200 A.D, and they meet their demise in 1535. If we wanted to place our civilization as far as the 13th century I think we might be better off with some other contents, but just a thought. Western Europe has other civilizations such as the Gauls, A civilization in France, and some of the other Germanic Tribes. The Ideal time for Western Europe is just before the rise of Rome. This area of the world would have almost all the necessary we need to make a civilization.
I think that our civilization should be centered in South America in close proximity to the Amazon. The Amazon provides abundant resources throughout the year. If we were to make our civilization in this area, we would, however, need to contend with the daily rainy circumstances. This factor though, I believe, would be simple to overcome. The Incans were around in the 1200s. If we were to interact with a group, the Incans would be an interesting group to interact with, as there is supple information on the group.

Western Eruope- we should put our civilization in western eruope, some where between germany and Portugaul. This area has all of the Natural resources of south America and more. It also has something to base our civilization off of, and the possability of trae.
I now think that we should be in the middle of the United States, around the Mississippi, at around 500 BCE. There, we have the river, the plains to farm, the Indians to trade with, and the animals (like buffalo) to eat.
I'm tied bewteen South America and Western Europe. Both of them have good sources of natural resources, and climates that are condusive to building a civilization. The time period I think is best would be between 700 and 500 BCE. This time period would be easiest to reasearch and technological advances would be the greatest.

The environment is suitable for much growth. Because there are so many growing plants, other animals can live there. The wide variety of animals is good for humans to eat meat. I have completely changed my descision and decided that we should do Europe. I think that these places are stronger than South America because even though South America has rain, the Amazon, and fertile soil, they would not be able to farm without the tools and iron necessary. If you don't have a type of metal, you will not be able to hunt with a dependable item. I think that it would be a good enviroment to have a society in but you would not have enough things to get by easily. In Europe, you have Africa to trade with if you need help or need a resource that you don't have. I think our time period should be around 650-500 BCE because it is the most modern and that probably means that we could discover more about the area.

There is also mountains which could be a good barrier. Mid US has good land for farming. Farming would be good to have because there is always a steady flow of food.
